Here may be something you can try called “Buprenorphine. It’s a med for addiction and the side affect is it takes away pain. It’s awesome”. This statement is from a person who has had Dystonia for years. She seems very happy about this drug.
Cervical Dystonia Affects The Brain
Cervical Dystonia is a Genetic error where the brain thinks it is in space.
A persistent chronic firing of the neck muscles which causes the head to shake when they all fire at the same time – which they are not designed to fire at the same time.
Treatment is to help re-calibrate where the brain thinks it is.

SO HOW DO YOU DO THIS YOU ASK……….
NEUROLOGICAL CHIROPRACTOR***
Traumatic Brain Injury is commonly called TBI and basically any ailment or trauma to the brain is a brain injury because it affects the brain. This is my simple explanation of what I know and have talked to Neurological Chiropractors.
Neurological chiropractors have help not only Cervical Dystonia but have helped people with Alcohol Fetal Syndrome, ADD/ADHD, people who have injured their brain by being in a car accident and hit their head – birth accidents – accidents while babies were in the womb and something happened while their brain was being developed.
A really good ADD/ADHD book by Dr. Melillo is Disconnected Kids (for adults as well as children). A very good resource book.
You can live a very productive life while dealing with brain trauma most times. When I was 19 I was in a car accident and hit my head really hard and 50 years later was diagnosed with TBI from that car accident. I have had some challenges such as weight control (a brain issue in my case), or health other issues but not knowing that these health issues stem from the brain being traumatized.
Along with going to the neurological chiropractor I would suggest trying a product that helps rebuild the brain.
Stem Cell ACTIVATORS (NOT stem cells) are one way. There are 28 different ACTIVATORS – One for each organ and gland. There is a stem cell ACTIVATOR for the brain and any gland that is in the brain such as the Pineal or Hypothalamus gland. . Although I doubt this will cure the genetic defects it does help with the symptoms. At least in my case it helped a great deal. The neurological or neurology chiropractor is needed to help with the rest of the healing process.
If you are interested in learning more about the ACTIVATORS go to www.good4body.com to look a a more detailed description/information and contact me there or the contact form on this website and someone will contact you within 24 to 48 hours.
My friend who has cervical dystonia has had Botox shots for years and is unable to do a lot of these helpful hints. So, she uses KLOSS Antispasmodic Compound for shaking. This helps the shaking. She is also seeing a neurological chiropractor which has helped over cervical dystonia patients and she feels she is finally getting some help.
We have also found out through testing that there is an emotional part to this genetic defect. I am sure lots of people have it but my guess (and this is only a guess) is that trauma to the head several times starts the genetic defect and then some emotional upset triggers it to react in this way.
Again, it is a genetic defect and like all genetic defects the defect will never go away BUT MAYBE the symptoms will. You can get help for all genetic defects. You just need to learn where to go and who to see.
There is also Brain Re-training at www.brainstatetech.com. There is a map as to the one closest to you. You can call and talk to them (near you) to see if this will help this situation.
My friend saw a Cranial Sacral Massage Therapist. These therapists specialize in helping the nerves so make sure you get a really good one. They have specialized training for the body and even though they are called cranial sacral massage therapists their training goes way beyond normal cranial sacral massage training. However, they will not help with the brain genetics because they are only versed in nerves, muscles and bones.
You also need an atlas chiropractor to put your atlas back correctly and then once that is done you can start working on all this other. An atlas chiropractor is another tool in the tool belt that you have but again, they are well-versed in the bones, muscles, nerves of the the spine but have little to do with the neurological aspects of the brain unless you get an atlas chiropractor who does both.
***DOCTOR LOCATOR
Go to ACNB.ORG and type in the town, state or zip code to find the doctor nearest you. If you are unable to find a doctor using ACNB.ORG the second choice would be to go to IAFNR.ORG.
